General Lawrence Carte de Visite photgraph dating from the the early 1860's. I don't know anything about the General, the title has been taken from the hand written description on the back.
The photograher is William Kilburn of 222, Regent Street, London, identified by his backplate verso on the mount. Kilburn worked first as a successful and highly accomplished daguerreotypist. He operated from this address between 1856 and 1864.
This item is is in nice condition and is 10.4cm x 6.3cm across.
